These are the last two scarves I stitched. Both were dyed in the summer when I spent a weekend dyeing, but I just got around to finishing them.
The resist is a metal switch plate. I love the orderly repetition of the rectangles.
The last scarf was dyed with turquoise and then in an indigo bath. The turquoise is very subtle.
They are cotton gauze dyed with the Itajime technique of clamping with a resist. The scarves are then joined into a loop with a piece of lightweight hand dyed cotton.
